Karthika to Debut in Bollywood?

Actress Karthika who made her debut in Tollywood with Josh has later acted in Kollywood film Ko [Rangam in Telugu] in KV Anand’s direction and earned positive reviews for her performance.

Though her onscreen debut in Telugu didn’t favour Karthika, her Kollywood film opened up big and completed 50 days of run successfully. But surprisingly the actress didn’t get any exciting offers in Tamil too after the success. Karthika has appeared in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam but none of the filmmakers are looking out to cast her in their films.

Recently we reported that Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar is going to remake Rangam in Hindi and on knowing this Karthika’s mother and veteran actress Radha has approached him for asking him to let Karthika reprise her role as a feisty journalist in Hindi version too.

According to the grapevine, Akshay Kumar politely approved to her request and an official announcement is awaited from Akshay Kumar.

Rangam Release on 13th May

Rangam, the Telugu dubbed version of the Tamil film KO will hit the screens on 13th May. The movie casts Jeeva, Karthika and Piaa Bajpai in the lead roles. The movie was recently released in Tamil and is declared super hit at the Tamilnadu Box-Office.

The way KV Anand chronicled the life and times of a press photographer is quite impressive and the movie received positive reviews from all corners for the Tamil version.

Jeeva plays the role of a photo journalist, who uses his profession for a good cause. Rangam is a story based on the political backdrop. The film has been directed by K.V.Anand and Mega Super Good Films is releasing it in the Telugu version in association with RS Infotainments. Music scored by Harris Jayaraj is already out in stores.
