The Pokiri combo is back. Prince Mahesh Babu and Dashing director Puri Jagannadh were back together again with another new film. It is known that the duo’s Pokiri has set new record collections at the Box Office. This new film will move onto floors from May 2011 and it will be produced under RR Movie Makers.

Speaking about the film, Mahesh Babu says, “The storyline narrated by Puri created excitement in me. This movie sets new sensation in Tollywood like Pokiri.”

Director Puri Jagannath says, “Mahesh was impressed with this subject. The movie will move onto floors from May. It will become a good film in our combination again.”

RR Movie Makers Venkat says, “We are happy to produce this film under our banner. The project will be made as a prestigious one with high technical standards.”

Nagarjuna’s latest release Ragada is making steady collections and moving strong at the Box-Office after great openings. Though the film initially received divide talk and average reviews, Nagarjuna seems to be happy with the box-office collections.

Nag says, “Ragada is for common audience. Critics don’t like these kind of flicks. We are not surprised to see bad reviews for Ragada.”

“Ragada will be the best commercial hit in my career. We were confident about the film and the audiences are proving us right,” he further added.

The recently undergone strike in Tollywood is causing delay of many new film releases. One such film is Puri Jagannath, Rana combo Nenu Naa Rakshasi . The film which was supposed to release for Sankranthi is postponed and might hit the screens in February as it is yet to complete little talkie part.

Ileana playing Rana’s lady love and Abhimanyu Singh is playing the negative lead role in the film. Nallamalapu Bujji is producing the film under Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner. Nenu Naa Rakshasi is said to be an action-packed love story.

It is known that Ram Charan is playing the role of a football player in his upcoming film, Merupu. Ram Charan is said to be undergoing training in Foot Ball under the guidance of an Australian coach, especially to do justice for this role.

Merupu has completed its first schedule and soon the second schedule begins. Meanwhile, Kajal Agarawal who was initially roped in as female lead is replaced by Sexy siren Ileana as Kajal failed to offer her dates for the film.

Merupu is being directed by Dharani and produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain under the banner Mega Super Good Films. RB Choudary is presenting the film and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music.

Parama Veera Chakra audio launch happened in a grand style amidst of several celebrities and the movie is gearing up for its release on 12th January. Meanwhile, the producer has submitted the first copy to the Censor Board and received U/A certificate. The unit members were happy with the Censor Board report.

The film-makers revealed that Bala Krishna has donned the roles of Komaram Bheem and Ravana Brahma in a couple of songs in the film. The actor is playing dual roles in the film and will be seen romancing three heroines Ameesha Patel, Sheela and Neha Dhupia. C.Kalyan is producing the film under the banner Teja Cinema

Bala Krishna, who received success earlier with few Pongal releases, is expecting the same with Parama Veera Chakra. Let’s wait to see what happens.

Story

Ranga (Srikanth) is a notorious thief and he along with his group (Sivaji and others) spends their life stealing from the corrupt cops.

Ranga has got a grandma (Telangana Sakunthala) with whom he has fights all the time. He also has a love affair with inspector Mangamma (Vimala) and also a strong passion for faction cinema, factionists etc. His life takes a turn when he comes across Bhavani Prasad (Srikanth again), a real life factionist.

Who is Bhavani Prasad? What is the link between him and Ranga? What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Artists Performance:

Srikanth has given a decent performance in both roles but then the body language is quite mild. Somehow he needs to pump energy in his body and show some speed.

Vimala Raman is a seductress. Though she is not endowed with curves, she has a raw sex appeal that is enough to entice the audience. Performance wise, there is nothing for her. It is about time she thinks twice before she chooses such roles or else her days are numbered.

Ramya Krishnan tries to be stiff and strict. Though she enlarges her eyes at all times, the impact was not that great.

Telangana Sakuntala was alright, Sivaji was okay, the actor who did the villain’s role was apt, Jayaprakash Reddy brought few smiles, Chakri looked drowsy, Sakshi Shivanand looks pale in the item song, Jyothi, Bhuvaneshwari, Taslima Sheikh made their presence felt for the special song. The others were there to fill the screen.

Highlights:

Drawbacks:

* very weak direction

* poor songs
* technical jerks
* stale content

Final Analysis:

The movie carried 3rd grade stuff with weak characterizations. Every character does over-action and the director has to be blamed for that. The Godavari slang for Vimala Raman is irritating. Wearing Jasmines in Police Uniform with long plait is the most useless thought of the decade.

Director has learnt the technique of film making but he didn’t even learned ABCD in bringing conviction to the scene. He has got no assessment of audience pulse. He has shown what he wanted to show but hardly considered the taste of audience and their receptiveness.

The director failed miserably in depicting that punch or getting the momentum. Inexperience was showing in many scenes as the screenplay was very weak. Too much of build-up dialogues on faction looks silly and annoying.

Comedy quotient was literally nil and though few technical shots were appealing the film, it lacks the conviction to engage the audience into the plot. One fails to understand how actors like Srikanth agree to such projects.

At the box office, few scenes might appeal to the auto drivers and rickshaw pullers at the B and C centers but overall, this is a dud.

Ramcharan’s Ugly Fight On Road!

With each passing day, Ramcharan Tej has been displaying his frustration one way or the other and it appears that the sour pill of ‘Orange’ is still not digested by him. Now, it is heard that he got into a rather ugly brawl on the roads recently which is making hot news.

It is heard that recently Charan was driving home late night with his bunch of bhajana batch from a Christmas party. However, the buzz is that Lanco Rajagopal’s son was also driving in the same road and he tried to race with Charan’s car and literally toppled Cherry’s vehicle.

It seems Charan started fuming with this and pulled out Rajagopal’s son which resulted in a heated argument between the single Lanco scion and Charan’s gang. Sources say that car windows broke and it was not until Allu Arjun entered the field and brought peace between both sides. Some say Charan seems to have got the temper of his uncle Pawan Kalyan in a way.

Vimala Raman Into Hollywood

Actress Vimala Raman is all set to make her entry in Hollywood with a 3D film titled Dam 999. Vimala will share the screen space with Hollywood actor Joshua Fredric Smith. The actress is playing a Malayali lady who falls in love with an English man. The movie is gearing up for its release in the month of April World-wide.

Meanwhile, Vimala Raman’s Ranga The Donga with Srikanth is releasing on 30th December. She also has Raaj film opposite Sumanth, which is currently in its post-production works.

Ram Charan has come up with two different looks in his last two films, Magadheera and Orange. Now, this young actor is working on yet another different makeover in his upcoming film Merupu.

It is known that Merupu is a film being made on Soccer game under the direction of Dharani. “Merupu is a tale of a spirited protagonist who counters the plans of the antagonist in a series of soccer matches,” says Ram Charan.

“Merupu showcases me with some muscles and a well- toned body since appropriate look adds dimension to the character,” adds Charan

The movie is slated for a release in the month of June.

Prabhu Deva and Ramlath have submitted the divorce on mutual consent at the Family court in Chennai. Now it is heard that the divorce is one of the costliest divorce ever in Kollywood.

It is Aravind Swamy who made the news recently for his costliest divorce. But now it’s Prabhu Deva’s turn to go for a costly settlement. In the affidavit submitted yesterday, Prabhu agreed to give a large share of his property. He is going to give a bungalow in Anna Nagar, a villa at Injambakkam on ECR, three apartments, a property in Hyderabad and two cars. Apart from these he is going to pay one time settlement of Rs 10 lakhs.

Can anyone guess the total value of the assets? The expected value of these properties is approximately Rs 25 to 30 Crore. His children will be sharing the properties located in Hyderabad and ECR. In addition to these assets Prabhu will be bearing the medical and education expenses of the children.

Nagarjuna yet again proved that December is lucky for him with the latest release Ragada. Being a holiday season, Ragada is said to be making steady collections at Box-Office. Nagarjuna’s next flick Damarukam will move onto the sets from 12th February, 2011.

Damarukam will be directed by Srinivas Reddy of Yama Gola Malli Modalaindi fame and produced by Venkat on the banner RR Movie Makers. The film is touted as a comedy entertainer with socio-fantasy touch. Anushka is pairing up with Nag in this film again.

It is known that Naga Chaitanya is currently doing a film with director Sukumar under the banner Geeta Arts. Bunny Vasu is producing this youthful love story. The movie which was supposed to release in the month of December was initially postponed to January but now, it was postponed again to March. The postponement is due to the strike in Tollywood.

Talking about the release date Naga Chaitanya says, “The film was initially supposed to release in December. But, due to some date issues and technical problems, it got postponed. Now, we are planning to release it in March.”

Tamannah is playing the female lead in the movie and there is a buzz that the film is titled as ‘I Love You’. However, film-makers are yet to finalize it.

It appears that the bad phase that Chiranjeevi has been going through has now passed onto his son Ramcharan Tej. For starters, his much hyped ‘Orange’ became a massive dud. And now, it is heard that Charan has been going through few embarrassing experiences at public events.

Recently, Charan was present for the Levis event and then he took part in the distribution of clothes at Kokapet. This was followed by his presence at the ‘Vareva’ audio function. Now, the observation is that none of these venues saw any commotion of the mega fans or the Charan fans and everything was deserted.

That way, sources say that Nagachaitanya is better as he commands a following. This is said to have made Charan feel further insecure and it is heard that he was blasting the event organizers as to why they could not bring in the fans. Some are suggesting that perhaps Charan should focus on scoring a hit instead of fuming like this and fans will follow automatically.

It is also heard Chiru is very worried that Charan might end up spoiling his future with this type of attitude. Starting from the incident where Charan called Anjana Productions as his ‘Babai’s Banner’ to abusing the Sakshi channel as idiot channel, news is that Chiru is quite concerned over the behaviour of Charan.

It is a dream for all the south actresses to step into Bollywood films and act opposite biggies. However, Anushka seems to be different. The actress has rejected a Bollywood offer that has come her way.

It is known that Anushka has done a Tamil film titled Singam opposite Suriya in Tamil (dubbed as Yamudu in Telugu). The film is being remade in Hindi and director Rohit Shetty offered the same female lead role in Hindi version opposite Ajay Devagan, but Anushka politely rejected saying she is busy with South films.

On the other hand, south actresses like Asin, Trisha, Ileana and others are waiting to grab good roles in Bollywood.

Mirapakaya is said to be full-length action entertainer with ample dosage of mass elements. Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ramesh Puppala under Yellow Flowers banner, the film is said to be made lavishly. Thaman has scored the music for the film.

After the success of Ye Maya Chesave, Gautham Menon seems to be concentrating on both Telugu and Tamil film industries. The logo and trailers launch of his Erra Gulabilu took place yesterday and Gowtham has announced yet another new film in Telugu.

The new film will cast Young hero Ram in the male lead role while female lead is yet to be announced. Ashok Vallabhaneni who is producing Erra Gulabilu will produce this new film under the same banner Mana Desam Movies. Music emperor AR Rahman will compose the tunes for this so-called love story.

Director Neelakanta who has made films like Show, Missamma, Sadha Mee Sevalo is back in Tollywood after a long gap. His last directorial Mr.Medhavi was released in 2007 but failed to create a mark at Box-Office.

Neelakanta will direct a film soon with Srikanth and the film is titled as Virodhi. Virodhi is said to be a story with the backdrop of naxalism wherein Srikanth will be seen as Journalist. The movie will be produced by Srikanth’s brother Anil.

Meanwhile Srikanth starrer Ranga The Donga is gearing up for its release on 30th December. Ranga The Donga is the only release for Srikanth in 2010.

Gopichand’s upcoming movie Wanted audio will be launched on 2nd January. The shooting part of the film was completed and currently the post-production formalities are in brisk progress. Gopichand will be seen romancing Deeksha Seth in the film.

We have earlier informed that Samantha Prabhu and Sameera Reddy has been roped in for Gautham Menon’s next film. The movie is now titled as ‘Erra Gulabeelu’ and is said to be made as a true thriller with neither songs nor any commercial elements in the film.

Erra Gulabeelu is being simultaneously picturised along with the Tamil version. Telugu version of the film is being produced by Ashok Vallabhaneni under Mana Desam movies banner. Manoj Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography. Gautham Menon has earlier given hits for both the leading ladies, ‘Surya S/o Krishnan’ for Sameera and ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ for Samantha. Hope the history repeats with this film too.

Jr.NTR is one of the few heroes who is flying high with the success of his two released films in 2010, Adhurs and Brindavanam. He is currently busy in wrapping up Shakti which is slated for a release in the early quarter of 2011.

NTR already had Surender Reddy’s ‘Rachcha’ in the pipeline and now Tollywood is at buzz that NTR signed a new film with Boyapati Srinu who scored a super hit with his last directorial, Simha. This new film is likely to be produced by K S Rama Rao.

Deva Katta is one of the finest talents, the Tollywood circuit has seen in the recent times. His last release, a power-packed political backdrop film, Prasthanam has captured the attention of many along with few Tollywood biggies.

This talented director has recently released a dialogue teaser of his next flick titled Auto Nagar Surya. There is a buzz that Auto Nagar Surya is being made to compete with Ram Gopal Varma’s next film, ‘Bezawada Rowdeelu’.

However Devakatta says, “The movie is set against trade unions as canvas and has got nothing to do with rowdyism. I’m ready to hit the floors with the finalized script and currently working on roping the cast and crew.”

After the success of his debut political genre film Leader, Rana goes for complete makeover in his second Telugu flick, ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ in the direction of Puri Jagannath. Rana is playing the role of a professional killer in the film, while Abhimanyu Singh of Rakta Charitra fame is playing the negative lead role. Abhimanyu received many praises for his role as Bukka Reddy in Rakta Charitra.

‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ is said to have completed almost 95% of its shooting and the remaining part is being canned in Hyderabad. Few action scenes on Rana and Abhimanyu Singh, under the supervision of fight master Vijay are shot on the other day at Golconda Fort.

Jr.NTR’s tentatively titled film ‘Rachcha’ was launched quite a while ago. Way2Movies has earlier announced that Tamannah is playing the female lead in the film. Now, the latest news is Tapsee has been roped in to play the second female lead in the film.

‘Rachcha’ is being directed by Surender Reddy and produced by B V S N Prasad under the banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Ltd. Tapsee currently has two films that are getting ready for release, ‘Vastadu Naa Raju’ opposite Vishnu and Mr.Perfect opposite Prabhas. The shooting of the film starts, as soon as NTR’s Shakti gets wrapped up.

Review

Story

Satya (Nagarjuna) is basically from Kadapa and he arrives in Hyderabad with a mission of earning mafia money. He joins the local don and does an efficient work. Sirisha (Anushka) who is a fiancee of local don likes Satya a lot. Meanwhile, Ashta Lakshmi (Priyamani) comes from nowhere along with her family and forces Satya to help them. As Sirisha and Ashta Lakshmi vie for the attention of Satya, he looks out for more money making opportunities. The rest of the story is all about the motive for the characters of Satya, Sirisha and Ashta Lakshmi.

Artists Performance:

I would sound repetitive if I say Nagarjuna is gorgeous in this movie as he has been the same for the past one decade. Hence I skip the looks part. Nagarjuna added Rayalaseema words in his dialogue delivery and it adds good flavor. Fights are designed in this movie to suit the style of Nagarjuna. Anushka is glittering with sensuousness in this movie and she has put a bit of weight compared to Arundhati time. Her broad hips were effectively showcased in the songs (especially Okkadante Okkade and Meesamunna Manmadhuda). Priyamani did the role of a traditional Brahmin girl. Charmme sizzled in the title song. Brahmanandam did a full-length character as the guy who loves heroine. He is entertaining. Dev Gill, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Supreet are good. Dharmavarapu and master Bharat are entertaining in ‘english-teluguu-translation’ episode.

Technical Departments:

Ragada has an ordinary revenge story with a couple of twists. Veeru Potla who made his debut as director with an entertainer like Bindaas made sure that there is ample entertainment in this script as well. The screenplay is good in second half where a couple of unexpected twists are revealed. Direction of the movie is okay in the parts. The entire first half of the movie doesn’t have much of a story. The second half is stuffed with the story in which the motive of the lead characters is revealed.

Music by Thaman is good. Thanks to aggressive promotion by FM radio channels, I got familiar with first four songs of the film and enjoyed watching them with good visuals. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is of top notch quality. Enough recognition should be given to color grading and visual effects. Dialogues by Veeru Potla are a plus. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is smooth. Fights composed by Vijay are stylish. AS Prakash’s art direction is neat. The production values by Kamakshi banner and post production quality are excellent.

Highlights:

* Glamour quotient of the leading ladies
* Opening fight sequence of Nag
* Rich presentation of songs

Drawbacks:

* Second half slows down and there is a drag
* Unwanted inclusion of songs
* Abrupt jerks in editing
* No depth in the character etching of villains

Final Analysis:

First half of the movie adequate. Second half is stuffed with the content and a couple of interesting twists. The plus points of the movie are main leads (Nagarjuna, Anushka and Priyamani) and stylish taking. However, it has become highly formulaic for heroes to join mafia with a personal agenda in most of the mass movies. There are too many villains in the movie and the connection among them is little confusing. We have to wait and see how audiences will lap the Ragada up.

Review

Story

Set on the backdrop of Europe, the story starts with Nisha (Trisha), a noted actress who breaks up with her boyfriend Madangopal (Madhavan) after getting engaged and comes to Europe along with her friend Deepa (Sangeetha) and her kids.

Apparently, Madan suspects Nisha of having affairs and since he wants to prove a point, he hires Major Bhushan (Kamal) to spy on Nisha and provide evidence so that he can come clean. Bhushan has his own commitments in the form of his friend’s (Ramesh Aravind) chemotherapy and hence keen on earning money by any means.

What starts as a tale of detective work takes a different turn for Bhushan and connects him with his heart and also his past. What are those twists forms the rest of the story.

Artists Performance:

This is a nothing role for Kamal Haasan and his caliber. Though there was a scene or two where he got the chance to show his mettle, overall it was just a cake walk. He looks reasonably trim in this.

Trisha has increased her oomph and though she still has that cute looks, age is catching up with her and it is visible on her face. Performance wise, she was elegant and scored the brownie points.

Madhavan was effective but then his character was not etched that strongly so there were fluctuations in his performance.

Sangeetha did her bit as required and looked voluptuously attractive in few scenes. The dubbing of anchor Jhansi worked well for Sangeetha.

Ramesh Aravind was alright, Urvashi was crying all the time, Das and Manju Pillai did their bit as required, Oviya was brief, Caroline looked beautiful, Usha Uthup was a surprise, the child artistes were okay, Suriya with his song was a pleasure to watch.

Highlights:

* Screenplay during the first half, reminded a bit of Gautham Menon
* Rich locations and impressive camerawork in catching them on the lens
* Kamal’s flashback song in a rewind mode was variety

Disappointments:

* Hardly anything for Kamal Haasan to show his real prowess in performance
* Complete disjoint between the first half and second half in terms of feel Silly comedy
* No trace of Ravi Kumar’s commercial elements
* Last thirty minutes brought dead silence among the audience, this was out of confusion

Final Analysis:

Given the title, the expectations were that it would be a flossy romantic entertainer with its own share of comedy and entertainment. However, the film takes off as a rather serious love story filled with sentiments, intensity and depth. With little humorous narration, the film runs smooth till interval.

But then, it turns into a total reverse with the second half getting into silly comedy and unwanted sequences on the lines of ‘Pellam Oorellite’ etc, with confusion in character lines. At one point, the total film looks silly and there is absolutely no life in the climax. The saving grace to the film is the technical values, the star power and two decent songs.

At the box office, there is nothing for the masses and the classes will like the first half and leave by second half. This will be thumbs down at the box office.

Samantha in Pawan Kalyan's Next Movie?

Samantha is riding high after the success of Ye maya chesave and Brindavanam. Currently she is acting with Mahesh babu in Dhookudu. And now she is all set to act with another star hero of tolywood, powerstar pawankalyan.

After lovely, pawan kalyan will be acting in a film being directed by VV Vinayak and Samantha will be playing the female lead in the movie as per the grapevine.

Kamalinee Mukherjee took a brief gap and returned to Telugu screens with Nagavalli. There have been many rumors that Kamalinee was not satisfied with her role in Nagavalli as the director has cut down her length of the role in the film. However, Kamalinee says those are just rumors.

“I am happy with my role and run-time I got in ‘Nagavalli’. Infact P.Vasu has added a song to my role which wasn’t there in the Kannada version. I have done short roles in my earlier films too like ‘Happy Days’. I’m never bothered about the duration but sees if my character has importance to the script,” says Kamalinee.

'Vastadu Naa Raju' Music Review

Manchi vishnuvardhan Babu is all set to arrive with his new movie after the debacle of ‘Saleem’. This time he is pairing up with Taapsee and the audio release happened recently. The music is composed by Mani Sharma and lyrics are composed by Rama Jogiah Sastry.

1. Hello Everybody
A foot tapping number, the song reminds you of the title song of Mahesh Babu’s ‘Takkari Donga’. The voice has been rendered by Ranjith along with chorus and Ranjith has given the required energy in his voice. Mani Sharma used his trademark violin in a good way and the background beat was kept constant. Rama Jogiah Sastri twisted the words very well and the mix of English and Telugu words inspires confidence.

02. Padha Padha
A melodious romantic duet, Mani Sharma takes a consistent path and it is neither too fast nor too slow in its music. As usual, violin, drums, flute play the key role for this song and this number is dominated by the vocals than the tune. The duet is rendered by the voices of Hemachandra and Malavika. While Hemachandra was effective, Malavika could have reduced the shrillness in her voice. Rama Jogiah Sastri gets naughty this time and uses his words with good teasing and eroticism.

03. Sadaymiya
This is a mass beat song and is peppy with strong beat. Mani Sharma doesn’t forget his melody touch and though the ‘Dappu’ goes constantly, he gives a good mix of guitar, percussion instruments and maintains a good pulse to it. Even the duo of Ranjith and Rita share a good chemistry in this one and give a foot tapping feel to it. Rama Jogiah Sastri uses his poetic prowess to get some flavor and yet again, he picks few naughty lines. Overall, a good song for the masses.

04. Kalagane Veyla
A sensuous duet filled with passion, the song belongs to lyricist Rama Jogiah Sastri and he has woven the words in an arousing manner. The stitching of the lines are quite apt. Mani Sharma has come up with an excellent tune and gave a soothing melody. The flow is maintained by the duo of Sri Ramachandra, Saindhavi who sync with the tune and the words in a good way. This is a highlight song in the album.

05. Olla
This is a perfect dance duet. The opening takes off very well and Mani Sharma gives an excellent composition to the fast track. He mixes his techno beats with the vocals and drums, guitar, synthesizer are used effectively. Credit also goes to the duo of Ranjith, Janani who have given a good feel to the song. Rama Jogiah Sastri used simple words and delivered the meaning in the right mode. A peppy song, this can be used for dance competitions.

06. Nathone Nuvvu
This is a sentimental melody and it will strike the chord of the youth in a big way. Mani Sharma shows his mettle by giving a composed tune and flute, violin, cello play a key role in this one. This song is dominated by music and though it is a duet by Saketh and Saindhavi, most of the contribution comes from Saindhavi. Rama Jogiah Sasthri reveals the pains of the heart when in love in the right manner. This is one of those songs to be listened when feeling blue.

7 Yedho Yedho
This is a moderate duet and though it is meant to be a melody, the energy levels are not upto the mark. The duet has been rendered by the voices of Karthik and Chaitra who have done their bits as required. Mani Sharma used his signature beats and he kept a constant beat without making any changes to the beat. Rama Jogiah Sastri uses few saucy words and there is a sensuality in the song but the feel is missing.

Overall, the album comprises of easy going songs and not high energy, pulsating numbers. Mani Sharma has proved once again that he is a master of melody. So, this would appeal to those who like soft numbers and songs that can be played after a long time. However, to those who want some fast paced spicy stuff, they may like just two numbers. But the good side is the impressive chemistry between the music and the lyrics which have gelled well.

Vishnu Manchu blasts AP censor board today. The reason seems to be very reasonable. Censor board has rejected the trailer of the film that was released shortly. The basis that was shown by Censor people is that it is very vulgar. But no one understands what the degree of vulgarity in this is.

Sources say that Censor members are expecting some bribe to clear this song. Details are yet to come out.

Anushka Shetty is certainly the top actresses of Tollywood with the right blend of beauty and acting skills. Though the actress had several flop films in her initial career, it was ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Vedam’ films that showcased her talent and made her reach the top position.

On the other hand, the Kollywood chances too are moving away as most of the leading heroes of Kollywood are too short when compared to her height. Her plus point of beauty has worked negative to the lady in Kollywood.

Her recent films in the second half of 2010, Khaleja with Mahesh Babu failed at the Box-Office and the latest release Nagavalli too is receiving below average talk. Many who saw Nagavalli film, opined that Anushka looked as an aged lady in the film and she needs to concentrate more on her beauty. ‘Ragada’ film is yet to hit the silver screens and we can analyze her performance in the film only after its release.

With many such issues, let’s wait to see how long the lady of luck smiles at Anushka!

It is known that Jr.NTR is currently busy with the shooting of his heavy budget film, Shakti. After wrapping up Shakti, NTR will start shooting for Surender Reddy’s film which was launched in November.

As per the latest reports, NTR has signed up a new film under the direction of Srinyu Vytla. This new film is said to be produced by Ganesh Babu, who is currently producing the remake of Love Aaj Kal film with Pawan Kalyan. Srinu Vytla is currently busy in the direction of Mahesh Babu, Samantha starrer Dhookudu that is schedule for summer release.

Ram Gopal Varma has released the brochure of this film with few characters and their descriptions that has enough substance to create controversies. The brochure has shocked many, as the characters have close comparison to top celebrities related to Telugu Cinema.

Varma has adopted a new way of publicizing his films these days. Even before the film rolls on to floors, RGV creates some sort of controversies and grabs the media attention towards his film. Rakta Charitra, Bezawada Rowdeelu and now KSD Appalraju are the primary examples. Media exaggerates these controversial issues to a large extent and ultimately, Ramu is gaining free publicity for all his films.

The big budget romantic comedy entertainer, Manmadha Banam is slated for a release on 23rd December. Kamal Haasan and Trisha are pairing up for the first time in the film. Directed by K.S.Ravi Kumar and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin, most part of Manmadha Banam is said to be shot on cruise liner in Mediterranean Sea.

The film-makers of Manmadha Banam are pretty confident on the film’s success and Lakshmi Ganapathi Films who bagged the rights of the film in Telugu version are expecting the film to fare well at the Box-Office since all the dubbed films of 2010 have done well at the Box-Office. Infact, the Telugu film Industry faced a good competition with Tamil dubbed films like Robo, Awara, Yamudu etc. Rajini Kanth’s Robo is said to be the highest grosser of 2010 in Telugu with 47 Crores.

Let’s wait and see if Manmadha Banam too joins the successful dubbed films list of 2010.

Srikanth, Vimala Raman starrer Ranga The Donga under the direction of GV is slated for its release on 30th December. Srikanth is playing the dual role for first time in his film career.

Speaking in the press meet director GV says, “Ranga The Donga is a full-length mass and action entertainer. Ramya Krishna’s performance is one of the highlights of the film. Chakri’s music will attract all sections of the audiences”

Other supporting casts include Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, L B Sri Ram, Raghu Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy, Telangana Sakuntala and Chitram Seenu.

It is known that Ram Charan has recently reacted against Sakshi Channel for airing a program about his latest released film ‘Orange’ as a mega flop and linking it to Chiranjeevi’s political affairs. Now, he has reacted against a popular website for publishing baseless news against him.

This gossip website has published news that Ram Charan made hungama on Sagar Society road in the mid night by riding his car faster and breaking the traffic rules. The news also added that he did this to come out of grief on Orange flop.

Reacting to the news, Ram Charan tweeted that he will proceed with the legal action on this website. “I’m surprised to wake up and hear some stupid baseless rumors in some gossip website. For sure will take legal action on the website,” tweeted Ram Charan.

Gopichand’s upcoming film ‘Wanted’ has completed its shooting part and is gearing up for the post-production works. Deeksha Seth of Vedam fame is playing the leading lady in the film. Wanted is being directed by B.V.S. Ravi and produced by Venigella Prasad under Bhavya Creations. The film is touted as a romantic cum action entertainer.

Director Ravi says, “The title Wanted received a great response. Gopichand rocks in the roles of angry young man. We captured his emotions in an innovative style in ‘Wanted’. There will be a lot of surprises and interesting twists in the story. Music scored by Chakri is an added attraction to the film.”

The audio is likely to be launched in the end of December.

Wanted Telugu Movie Review

Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy, who got engaged quite a while ago, will enter the wed-lock on 6th March. Though there is news popping-out that it is a love marriage, Allu Arjun says those are just media’s speculations and it is an arranged wedding only.

“My parents are taking care of all the arrangements. My special wedding attire will be done by a designer from Delhi. The date has been fixed for March 6,” says Allu Arjun

Meanwhile, the energetic hero is busy with Badrinath film under the direction of V.V.Vinayak. Arjun has grown long hair and toned his physique for his character in Badrinath. The Stylish Star promises us that Badrinath showcases him in a new and different style.

Nagarjuna starrer 'Ragada' which is slated for release on 23rd December is now postponed by a day. Ragada is releasing worldwide on 24th December. The first copy of the film is ready and the producer will submit the first copy to Censor Board today.

Nagarjuna says that he is quite confident on the film’s success. He mentioned that his role in Ragada is interesting with lot of punch dialogues and he had not played such kind of roles in the last five years. Anushka and Priyamani are playing the leading ladies opposite Nag.

Directed by Veeru Potla and produced by D Siva Prasad Reddy under Sri Kamakshi Enterprises, the music scored by Thaman has been ruling the charts since the audio released day.
