Censor Troubles for RGV’s Bejawada

Naga Chaitanya’s forthcoming film Bejawada is scheduled for a release on 2nd December but the film is facing few troubles from the censor board certification as the Board who feels that Bejawada is made based on the few communities that happened earlier and it might ignite few troubles again.

Director Vivek Krishna is said to have canned few controversial issues in the film and censor board has suggested about 20 major cuts for which the makers are unhappy. Bejawada is sent to revision committee for further review.

Ram Gopal Varma along with Kiran Kumar Koneru has produced the film under Sreya productions banner. Amala Paul played the leading lady in the movie. We are yet to see how Bejawada gets its censor Board clearance.

Madhu Shalini Into Bollywood With RGV's Department

Madhu Shalini who wooed Telugu audiences with her performance in many films is gearing up to step into Bollywood. It is heard that the film has been confirmed and she is all set to turn into a whole new avatar for her Bollywood debut.



She has signed a film titled Department with ace director Ram Gopal Varma, aka RGV. The film will move on floors in the first week of September will see an early 2012 release. The actress who was seen in soft natured roles so far will be seen as a gangster in this multi-starrer and will shares screen space with Bollywood top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati.



On Speaking on the film, Madhu Shalini said, “Department is set on the backdrop of police and underworld nexus. It will mostly look like the final part of RGV's earlier films like Satya and Company. The film is quite unusual; I mean it doesn’t deal with either with the hero, heroine or villain. My character is quite different and as well as daring. She can be extremes, depending on how people treat her and get dangerous if people get on her way”.

Bejawada Rowdilu Into Headlines Again!

Ram Gopal Varma’s production venture Bejawada Rowdilu has hit the headlines once again for wrong reasons. The film has run into controversies right from the announcement of the title. Though controversies are not new to RGV, Bejawada Rowdilu is facing severe troubles unlike his earlier projects.

Gowtham Reddy an advocate lodged a petition in High court against Bejawada Rowdilu demanding for a change of film’s title. Now, the High court has given censor Board legal counsel a week time for analyzing on the issue. Earlier few groups in Vijayawada expressed their anger and unhappiness on RGV’s decision on Bejawada Rowdilu.

RGV Not Changing Title of ‘Bezawada Rowdeelu’

After an eminent Telugu news channel said that director Ram Gopal Varma is contemplating the fact of changing the title of Bezawada Rowdeelu, the director hit back at them by stating that he’s not changing the title.

Varma on his twitter page confirmed this; Konni channels lo Bezawada rowdeelu title maarchaamani vasthunna vaarthalu poorthigaa Abaddham [some channels showcasing news of Bezawada Rowdeelu title has been changed is completely false].

Well, this comes after Varma’s friend, MP from Vijayawada, Lagadapati Raja Gopal has said that Varma will be changing the title. Wonder what Lagadaapati has to say now?

“In these days it makes more sense to ask whether the publicity campaign has been a hit rather than asking whether the film has been a hit”, posted Varma in his earlier tweet before the clarification. So it’s up to one’s imagination what he will take out of this.

Bejawada Rowdilu First Schedule Completes

There has been news that Vijayawada police has cancelled the permission for the shooting of Ram Gopal Varma's Bejawada Rowdilu following an appeal by a group of lawyers from the city. Bejawada Rowdilu has hit the controversy as the welfare organizations alleged RGV was trying to portray the conflicts that took place in Vijayawada, between two rivalry groups in 1980s that might now re-ignite the caste wars.

However, Ram Gopal Varma has released a press note in the afternoon stating that the first schedule of Bejawada Rowdilu has been wrapped up and so the unit members have returned back to Hyderabad.

"We have wrapped up the first schedule in the Vijayawada and so moved to Hyderabad for filming the new schedules as the earlier designed plan. The entire film will be completed by August and the film will hit the screens for Dussera," said RGV.

Bejawada Rowdilu has Naga Chaitanya playing the lead role and Vivek, a debutant is wielding the megaphone. The female lead for the film hasn’t been finalized yet.

Only when he has a strong conviction about God and Ghost he will come with such films. One who believes in Ghost certainly believes in God.”

Another analyst added “By giving such statements, Ramu tries to project himself in a different angle but that isn’t true. Maybe he felt that people didn’t catch the satire in his 1st statement, he has given the following sets of statements.” Wonder what Ramu has to tweet about this.

Varma’s experimental flick Dongala Mutha, which was shot just in 5days, is gearing up for its release on 18th March. RGV and his unit of Dongala Mutha are now involved in the publicity aspects of the film.

Ram Gopal Varma informs that Dongala Mutha was made with just 6 lakhs and the investment will be gained back by screening the film for one show in theaters. The entire movie was shot with Canon 5D SLR Cameras with 5 camera man.

“I have used these Canon 5D cameras to minimize the production cost of the film. We shot the movie with five cameras that enabled us to use five different angles of same shot in real time. These cameras give best output in natural light,” says RGV
