Film director VR Prathap died of cancer on Monday evening at a hospital in Hyderabad. He hails from Tenali and is survived by wife and daughter.
He has directed Nuvvu Vasthavani film with Nagarjuna and also bagged the credit of introducing Jr.NTR as hero by directing Ninnu Choodalani film.
Prathap has also directed Naalo Unna Prema with Jagapathi Babu and Gajala, Swamy with Hari Krishna in the leads. His last directorial was Gorintaku (2008) with Rajasekhar and Meera Jasmine which resulted as a hit. Prathap directed 5 films in his career.
